This half-day tutorial will introduce digital humanities professionals to best practices in advanced imaging, digitization and management. It will focus on methodologies for implementing and managing advanced imaging and digitization, integrating new technologies and data, and/or supporting advanced digital data products. This includes digitization and digital humanities projects involved in collecting, processing, accessing, archiving and collaborating with digital data from various imaging technologies.
Instruction will support digital humanities professionals as they implement and manage successive stages of advanced imaging and digitization projects from initiation through production and operation, especially with changing technologies, data standards and tighter budget environments. The tutorial will utilize examples and case studies of program and data management techniques and processes that are applicable to digitization and digital humanities programs of varied cost and complexity in a range of institutions around the globe.Go to the previous page
