1 Introduction
The objective of this report is to describe the way in which the TEMAA
framework has been applied in a concrete evaluation exercise, where two
spelling checkers have been tested and compared with respect to their
functionality. The focus of this activity has not been the actual performance
of the two products, but rather the soundness and usefulness of the methodology
developed in the project so far. Therefore, the names of the products are not
disclosed in this report, and emphasis is put not so much on the actual
results, but rather on whether the methodology used has been able to elicit the
kind of information we were looking for.
