Congress programme

Topics

Papers, posters, and software demonstrations are invited on all aspects of lexicography, including, but not limited to, the following fields, which are the main focus of the
Congress:

1. Computational Lexicography and Lexicology
2. Phraseology and Collocations
3. Dictionary Use
4. The Dictionary-Making Process
5. Reports on Lexicographical and Lexicological Projects
6. Bilingual Lexicography
7. Lexicography for Specialized Languages
8. Historical and Scholarly Lexicography; Etymology
9. Lexicological Issues of Lexicographical Relevance
10. Other topics

These broad indications should not be regarded ad excluding any other lexicographic topic. Papers, posters, and demonstrations that are relevant to the Congress but do not fall within any of the categories 1-9 will be reviewed nonetheless and considered for presentation.

Submission types

Submissions may be of one of the following types: Papers, software demonstrations or posters.

Papers

Paper presentations should be timed to last for 30 minutes, and will be followed by a 10-minute discussion period. (Short papers and project notes should be timed to last for 20 minutes + 10-minute discussion period.) Further details will be provided by the Programme Committee when speakers are notified of the acceptance of submitted papers.

There are no restrictions on the language of presentations, but unfortunately it is not possible to offer an interpretation service.

Software Demonstrations

We are particularly interested in considering well-prepared software demonstrations, and presentations of electronic dictionaries, both for human users and for language technology applications, corpora, tools, etc. Accepted demonstrations will be presented in a 20-minute time slot + 10-minute discussion period. Standard technical facilities will be available. Submissions relating to software demonstrations should include a description of the functions, underlying approach and implementation of the software. For convenience, please bring your own equipment, if possible.

Posters

We plan to organize a poster session: appropriate facilities will be provided in the central area of the Congress site. Details of the size and format of poster stands will be attached to the letter of acceptance.
